The two sides jointly witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between China Power International and the government of Yucatán, Mexico. He Qian said that China Power International has accumulated good practical experience in the construction of green, low-carbon and smart cities. The smart city energy solution conforms to the green, low-carbon and environmental protection development concept proposed by the state government. China Power International will actively give play to the advantages of listed companies in Hong Kong in terms of capital operation, industrial upgrading, technology leadership, and talent enrichment, and comprehensively help the Yucatán state government in energy transformation, upgrading, and security.
Governor Morrissey thanked China Power International for its reception, appreciated the achievements of China Power International in renewable energy construction and the enterprise's industrial development planning and deployment, and highly recognized the outstanding contribution made by Mexico Zuma Company in Mexico's energy development. He pointed out that Yucatán has stable society, rapid economic development, rich scenery resources, and perfect legal system. He expected China Power International to invest and start business in Yucatán as soon as possible.
Under the joint witness of the participants, Shou Rufeng, on behalf of China Power International, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation with the government of Yucatán. Both parties have clearly strengthened communication and cooperation. The state government will strongly support Zuma Company's project development work in the state, providing support in policy and permit processing, and helping Zuma Company accelerate the development of existing projects.
