According to the official information of the Department of Transport of Inner Mongolia, from January to June 2023, the fixed investment in highway and waterway transportation in the region has reached 12.83 billion yuan, up 23.9% year on year.

In the first half of Inner Mongolia's highway and waterway transportation fixed assets investment, the completed investment in expressways accounted for more than half of 7.22 billion yuan, the completed investment in national and provincial trunk roads was 3.55 billion yuan, and the completed investment in rural roads was 1.88 billion yuan.

In order to accelerate the construction of the project, the Department of Transportation of the Autonomous Region has broken down the annual construction tasks, preliminary procedure nodes, element guarantee and other tasks one by one, and established a work mechanism that is list based, responsible, and time limited. The Department of Transport of the Inner Mongolia urged all leagues and cities to implement local supporting funds, strengthen the guarantee of construction land, strengthen the responsibility of local subjects, and speed up the filing and approval of forest and grass, land requisition and demolition, supplementary farmland, construction land and other procedures; Urge the early preparation work for planned new construction projects, refine the timeline and promotion plan for each project's early work.
