As a pioneer in the development of overseas markets along the the Belt and Road, China Railway 10th Bureau has always actively implemented the "going global" development strategy and actively integrated into the the Belt and Road initiative. On July 19, 2023, the signing ceremony for the China Thailand Railway Section 3-1 undertaken by China Railway 10th Bureau was held in Bangkok, Thailand. Attila Latasi, Minister of Transport of Thailand, Neru Manipan, Director of the Thai Railway Bureau, Han Zhiqiang, Chinese Ambassador to Thailand, Zhang Xiaoxiao, Counsellor of the Chinese Economic Counsellor's Office in Thailand, and Li Haifeng, General Manager of China Railway 10th Bureau, attended the ceremony.

Attila Latasi congratulated the signing of Bid Section 3-1 of the China Thailand Railway and said in her speech that the China Thailand Railway is an important strategic route linking Thailand and the world, and an important link to strengthen the close relationship between the two countries. We look forward to taking the China Thailand Railway as an opportunity to continuously enrich and deepen practical cooperation, promote transportation cooperation to a new level, and effectively serve the economic and social development of the two countries. I believe that China Railway 10th Bureau can promote the construction of the China Thailand Railway project in a high-quality and efficient manner, promote the prosperity of friendly countries' transportation networks, connect the Mekong River Basin and the Greater Mekong Sub region, and promote the mutual understanding and eternal unity of the people of China and Thailand.

Han Zhiqiang reviewed the profound traditional friendly relations between the two countries. He said that this year marks the tenth anniversary of China's the Belt and Road initiative. The China Thailand railway project signed this time is the flagship project of China and Thailand to jointly build the the Belt and Road with high quality and carry out production capacity cooperation. After the completion of the China Thailand Railway project, it will significantly change the current status of Thailand's railway infrastructure and inject new vitality into Thailand's economic development. He pointed out that China Railway 10th Bureau has actively responded to the the Belt and Road development initiative in recent years. Since entering the Thai market, it has always regarded Thailand as the core national market, deeply participated in the construction of projects in housing construction, municipal administration, airport, water conservancy and other fields, and played an important role in serving Thailand's socio-economic development, ensuring and improving people's livelihood with practical actions.

Li Haifeng thanked friends from all walks of life for their long-term concern and support for the development of China Railway 10th Bureau in Thailand. He pointed out that China Railway 10th Bureau, as the pioneer of overseas market development under China Railway Group Limited, has focused on the three regional markets of Asia Pacific, Africa and Latin America. After the signing of the China Thailand Railway Section 3-1 project, China Railway 10th Bureau will further increase its market share in Thailand, greatly boosting the confidence and determination of enterprises to take root in Thailand and achieve long-term development. He said that the China Thailand Railway is a landmark cooperation project for the two countries to jointly build the the Belt and Road with high quality. When completed, the project will further strengthen the connectivity of surrounding countries and play an important role in helping regional social and economic development and improving people's livelihood. This time, China Railway 10th Bureau will participate in the construction of Bid Section 3-1 of the China Thailand Railway. China Railway 10th Bureau will plan scientifically, organize meticulously and promote efficiently to ensure that the project is completed on schedule, build the project into a demonstration project that witnesses the friendly cooperation between China and Thailand, and contribute to the high-quality joint construction of the the Belt and Road.

The first phase civil engineering project of the China Thailand Railway, Section 3-1, undertaken by China Railway 10th Bureau, is located in the provinces of Saraburi and Nakhon Ratchasima in central Thailand, with a total length of 30.21 kilometers and a construction period of 1080 days. The main construction content includes roadbed, bridge, culvert and other projects. After the completion of the China Thailand Railway, it will help drive the prosperity and development of the industries along the railway in Thailand, and will also realize the breakthrough of the Trans–Asian railway network, and promote the deep integration of the economy and culture of China and Thailand.Editor/Ma Xue
