Recently, the signing ceremony of Trina Solar's 50GW annual monocrystalline silicon project in Huai'an City was successfully held. Major leaders of Huai'an City and Trina Solar attended the signing activity.

Shi Zhijun, secretary of Huai'an Municipal Party Committee, congratulated the monocrystalline silicon project on its settlement in Huai'an Economic and Technological Development Zone, and thanked Trina Solar for its attention and support to Huai'an's development.

Trina Solar is a leading enterprise in the global photovoltaic new energy industry. In September 2022, the Huai'an base project was successfully signed, opening the prelude to in-depth cooperation with Huai'an. On April 19, 2023, when the first phase project was put into operation and the second phase project was started, Trina Solar invested an additional 5 billion yuan to build a new project for the production of new generation high-efficiency photovoltaic cells, which will soon start construction. After only three months, a new 50GW single crystal silicon wafer project has been signed this time. This project serves as an upstream support for the early battery production project of Huai'an Base, further expanding the upstream and downstream industrial chain, expanding business layout, and forming industrial clusters. After all single crystal silicon wafer projects are completed and put into operation, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of about 30 billion yuan and an annual tax payment of about 300 million yuan.
