On July 27, 2023, the signing ceremony for the cooperation project between Henan Zhengzhou Airport and private enterprises was held at Henan Zhengzhou Airport. 17 enterprises participated in the signing event, with a total investment of approximately 36.08 billion yuan.

It is reported that the projects signed this time cover 17 high-quality projects in the fields of new energy batteries, biopharmaceuticals, commercial hotels, warehousing and logistics, creative culture and tourism, with a signed amount of 36.08 billion yuan.

As the only national aviation economic development pilot zone approved by the State Council at present, Zhengzhou Airport is a pilot zone of the "Air Silk Road", located in the golden triangle of Zhengzhou, Kaifeng, and Xuchang. It has an important position in the domestic circulation that connects the east to the west and the south to the north. In the first half of 2023, the economic and social development of the airport area has made remarkable achievements. The Gross regional product of the whole area has reached 70.8 billion yuan, an increase of 9.6%, and the growth rate of major economic indicators has leapt to the forefront of the province. The total import and export value of Zhengzhou Xinzheng Comprehensive Bonded Zone in the first half of the year was 181.09 billion yuan, ranking second among the 157 comprehensive bonded zones in China and third among the special customs supervision zones in China.
