Recently, the bidding results of investors for projects such as the North Extension Line of the Macheng Yangxin Expressway in Hubei Province have been announced. This time, four units, including China Construction Engineering Corporation, China Communications Corporation, and China Railway Corporation, have won the bid for four sections!

Project Overview

Construction site: Huanggang City, Xiaogan, Hubei Province.

Construction scale: The north extension line of Macheng Yangxin Expressway starts from Qiujiadang Village, east of Muzidian Town, Macheng City, connects with the Mayang Expressway, extends northward after crossing G42 Shanghai–Chengdu Expressway, passes Tangjiachong to Longmenhe Village, enters Sanhekou Town, then extends northward along the G220 channel, successively crosses Hefei–Wuhan railway, Hewu Section of Shanghai Chongqing Chengdu High speed Railway, goes west of Sanhekou Reservoir, passes Qianfan Village, Shangshangyuan Village, It ends near Linjiagang at the border of Hubei and Henan provinces and connects with the Phase II project of the Yangxin Expressway Shopping Mall to the boundary between Henan and Hubei provinces planned by Henan Province. The overall route runs in a north-south direction. The total length of the route is about 32 kilometers, constructed according to the standard of a two-way four lane highway, with a design speed of 100 kilometers/hour and a roadbed width of 26.0 meters. We plan to build 22 bridges of 7517 meters, 6.5 tunnels of 8303 meters, 3 interchanges, 1 service area, 2 toll management stations, 1 monitoring sub center, and 1 maintenance work area. The total investment is estimated to be approximately 5.15 billion yuan;

Section I starts from Xiaoyangjiao in the north of Mahe Town, Hanchuan City in the north, connects with Xiaohanying Expressway, crosses Wujing Expressway, and ends at the administrative boundary between Hanchuan City and Caidian District, Xiaogan City in the south. The total length of the route is about 41 kilometers, and nine new bridges of 31920 meters are proposed. Section II starts from near Xingwangwan to the east of Xiaogang Town, Xiaonan District in the west and connects with G70 Fuzhou–Yinchuan Expressway. The total length of the route is about 26.5km, and 7 new bridges of 7864m are proposed. There are a total of 4 hub interchanges, 6 general interchanges, 1 service area, 1 maintenance work area, 2 monitoring and management sub centers, and 6 ramp toll stations. It is planned to construct a two-way six lane expressway with a design speed of 120 kilometers/hour and a roadbed width of 34.0 meters. The total investment is estimated to be approximately 15 billion yuan.
