Not long ago, China Railway Design Group Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid for the survey and design project of the Baotou Ordos Railway. As an important component of the national medium and long-term plan for the eight horizontal and eight vertical railway network and the sea channel, this project is also one of the 14th Five Year Plan construction projects for the development of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region's railway.

The rapid development of railway transportation has played an undeniable role in promoting economic development and improving regional transportation conditions.

As an important transportation hub city in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the construction of the Baotou Ordos Railway is of great significance for promoting local economic development and strengthening regional connections.

According to the plan, the railway project will connect Baotou City and Ordos City, with a total length of approximately 350 kilometers and a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour.
