At present, the Malaysia East Coast Railway, which is designed and manufactured by the Fourth Railway Institute, has entered the accelerated construction period. Chinese engineer Hukov and Malaysian engineer Qiu Yunlong, like brothers, work together to make Chinese design landing in Malaysia.
The Malaysian East Coast Railway, undertaken by Chinese enterprises, is a key project of the Belt and Road cooperation between China and Malaysia. Upon completion of the project, it is expected to drive the economic development of the East coast of Malaysia and greatly improve the connectivity of the regions along the line.
The East Coast Rail Link starts from Kota Baru in the Malaysian state of Kelantan and ends at Port Klang in Selangor. The line is more than 600 kilometers long and is scheduled to be completed in 2027. The East Coast Railway project will connect key ports on the east and west coasts of the Malay Peninsula and play a role in improving transportation, attracting investment and creating jobs.
