On August 31st, the world's largest rated walking beam crane, the CQ1800B walking beam crane, developed by China Railway Industry's subsidiary China Railway Jiuqiao, successfully completed the installation of the first section of the steel truss beam on the Ma'anshan side of the Ma'anshan side of the Ma'anshan Yangtze River Highway and Railway Bridge on the Chao Ma intercity railway. A total of 2 cranes were developed in the same batch, and on June 21st, the first beam erecting crane was first used for the erection of steel truss beams in the first section of the bridge's auxiliary channel.

The Ma'anshan Yangtze River Highway and Railway Bridge consists of a main channel bridge, a secondary channel bridge, and an approach bridge. The secondary channel bridge adopts a double tower three cable plane steel truss cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 392 meters. China Railway No.9 Bridge undertakes the development and installation of two 1800 ton beam erecting cranes for the project, mainly used for the construction of steel beams for auxiliary channel bridges.

In response to the particularity of steel beam erection, China Railway Jiuqiao has developed the CQ1800B beam erection crane, which achieves the function of adjustable anchor span distance of 3.2 meters. The crane is 25 meters high, 60 meters long, and 31 meters wide. The total weight of the crane is approximately 1050 tons, with a rated lifting capacity of 1800 tons and a lifting range of 13.6 to 22.6 meters. It is composed of a frame structure, running system, lifting system, lifting point adjustment system, electrical and hydraulic system, etc.

The crane has undergone significant upgrades in terms of working condition adaptation, modular frame structure, automatic anchor box passing device, and electrical control system. It can be used for lifting work with different anchor span distances and anchor box orientations, fully meeting the needs of bridge side span pushing erection and mid span cantilever erection in the secondary branch channel of the bridge; At the same time, the safety monitoring and management system has been optimized and improved to achieve information monitoring functions such as system self check before startup, data collection during operation, and full process information transmission, fully meeting the monitoring and management needs of crane operators, on-site offices, remote managers, and other different levels.Editor/GaoLiMei
