On September 26, 2023, the green hydrogen ammonia alcohol integration project of China Energy Construction Songyuan Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park officially began construction. This commencement is a powerful measure for China Energy Construction to fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, serve the national strategy, promote the achievement of the "dual carbon" goals, and accelerate the construction of a new development pattern.

The project plans to produce an annual output of 110000 tons of green hydrogen and 600000 tons of green ammonia/alcohol, supporting the construction of electrolytic cell equipment manufacturing production lines, comprehensive energy stations, and the establishment of a hydrogen energy research institute, covering the entire industrial chain of hydrogen production, hydrogen storage, hydrogen transportation, hydrogenation, hydrogen chemical engineering, and hydrogen equipment. The total investment of the project is 29.6 billion yuan. The construction content of the first phase of the project includes: 800MW wind power photovoltaic new energy, an annual production of 45000 tons of electrolytic water hydrogen production device, a 200000 ton flexible synthetic ammonia device, and a 20000 ton green methanol device.

The Songyuan project adopts multiple global leading technologies such as integrated matching technology of wind, solar, hydrogen, ammonia and alcohol, multi-stable flexible synthesis ammonia technology, CO2+H2 production of green methanol technology, zero carbon emission centralized heating technology, etc., to achieve "load follows source", achieve deep integration development of new energy electricity and chemical industry, promote on-site consumption of renewable energy and high value-added conversion, and build a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient energy system, To provide a continuous stream of green momentum for promoting sustainable economic and social development.

After the completion of the project, it will further promote the large-scale development of renewable energy hydrogen production and green hydrogen based chemicals, assist in the low-carbon transformation of the industry, and have important significance for promoting the construction of a national level renewable energy hydrogen production scale supply base and a diversified green hydrogen based chemical demonstration base in western Jilin.
