Vattenfall has made the investment decision to begin construction of an onshore wind farm in Velinga, outside Tidaholm in southern Sweden. Construction will start before the end of the year and the wind farm will be commissioned in early 2026. The wind farm will have a power generation capacity of 67 MW and an annual power generation of approximately 173 GWh.

Earlier this year, Vattenfall opened the Grönhult wind farm and started construction of the Bruzaholm wind farm, as well as two battery storage systems at our wind farms Höge väg and Hjuleberg wind farm. These projects make an important contribution to the green transition and electricity supply in southern Sweden.
Velinga Wind Farm Facts: It will consist of 12 180 meter high wind turbines. Velinga has a generating capacity of approximately 67 MW and an annual production of approximately 173 GWh. The wind farm is expected to be operational in early 2026. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
