On November 14, 2023, Sany Heavy Energy released the "Announcement on Foreign Investment and New Business Development", and the company plans to invest 6.5 billion yuan to build the Sany Jilin Changling Wind and Solar Hydrogen Storage Ammonia Digital Demonstration Project. The project is expected to invest in the construction of an integrated wind, solar, hydrogen, and ammonia storage industry in Changling County, Songyuan City, including the construction of photovoltaic, wind power plants, transmission lines, hydrogen to alcohol production factories, as well as storage, transportation, and energy storage facilities.
According to the announcement, Sany Heavy Energy plans to sign an "Investment Agreement for the Digital Demonstration Project of Wind, Solar, Hydrogen, and Ammonia Storage" with the People's Government of Changling County, Songyuan City. Sany Heavy Energy or its affiliated companies will invest in the construction of an integrated wind, solar, hydrogen, and ammonia storage industry in Changling County, Songyuan City, including the construction of photovoltaic, wind power plants, transmission lines, hydrogen to alcohol production plants, as well as storage, transportation, and energy storage facilities. Among them, Sany Heavy Energy is responsible for implementing wind power and chemical projects, and affiliated companies are responsible for implementing photovoltaic projects. The project is expected to invest 6.5 billion yuan and be completed within 18 months (excluding winter break) after the start of construction.
The company introduces that using new energy to generate hydrogen through complementary coupling of wind and solar power can improve the utilization efficiency of renewable energy such as wind power and photovoltaic, while solving the problem of "wind and solar waste" consumption. Establishing a renewable energy hydrogen alcohol system can reduce the proportion of fossil energy consumption in the chemical and energy sectors, help achieve China's carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, and is in line with China's green and low-carbon energy development direction.Editor/XingWentao
