The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) announced on the 21st that it had approved seven new investment projects with a total investment of US$479 million, including a new hydropower station development project in Koh Kong Province.
The approved new investment projects are: KHMER ELECTRICAL POWER Co., Ltd. invested US$447.5 million in the "BOT model (build-operate-transfer) to build a hydropower station project with an installed capacity of 100 megawatts in Koh Kong Province, which is expected to create 230 jobs post.
JUSTIN ALLEN (CAMBODIA) GARMENT MANUFACTURING Co., Ltd. invested US$6.2 million to build a garment factory project in Kandal Setang County, Kandal Province, which is expected to create 2,335 jobs.
KANGFA (CAMBODIA) GARMENT TECHNOLOGY Co., Ltd. invested US$5.6 million to build a garment factory project in Shamaki Meanchey District, Kampong Chhnang Province, which is expected to create 2,335 jobs.
SKY BEST FASHION Co., Ltd. invested US$5.2 million to build a garment factory project in Gongwu District, Gongwu District, Phnom Penh City, and is expected to create 925 jobs.
YF SINOSKY INDUSTRIAL (CAMBODIA) Co., Ltd. invested US$5.1 million to build a hat and garment factory project in Senlongdong Township, Senlongdong County, Prairie Province, and is expected to create 1,248 jobs.
SVZ PRINTING & PACKAGING Co., Ltd. has invested US$5.1 million to build a clothing accessories factory project in Anlong Luomo Township, Kanlashedang County, Kandal Province, which is expected to create 758 jobs.
XIN SUNN LONG (CAMBODIA) GARMENT Co., Ltd. has invested US$5.06 million to build a hat and garment factory project in Zongsan District, Bosen Chi District, Phnom Penh City, which is expected to create 1,183 jobs. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
