On April 20, 2020, as a subway line 6 project that eased ground traffic pressure, dispersed people, and saved travel time, with the powerful roar of the rotary drilling rig engine, the rotary excavator grab broke through the soil layer and moved deep into the stratum. Drilling, the first pile foundation of Metro Line 6 broke ground at the Xinshengwei Station of Nanjing Economic and Technological Development Zone, setting off a climax in the construction of Nanjing Metro Line 6.

As another main line running north and south through Nanjing's main urban area, Nanjing Metro Line 6 has attracted much attention. It has a total length of 32.365 kilometers. It runs from Nanjing South Railway Station to the south, passing through Southern New City, Purple Mountain, Heimoying, Yanziji, and Nanjing The development zone ends at Qixia Mountain and has 19 stations.

The Xinshengwei Station of Nanjing Line 6 was constructed by China Communications Construction Engineering Corporation Limited and is the 16th station of Nanjing Subway Line 6 from south to north. Xinshengwei Station has a total length of 236.39 meters. It is an underground two-story, three-span island platform with three entrances and exits. They are located on both sides of the planned Hengjing Road.

It is understood that the section of Wanshoucun Station (excluding) on Line 6 to Qixiashan Station is constructed by China Communications Construction, including Yanyao Road Station, Xingang Development Zone Station, Xingzhi Road Station, Xinshengwei Station, Liujiaku Station and Qixia Mountain 6 stations including the station. With the strong support of the relevant departments of Nanjing City, the local governments along the route, and construction units, the various tasks of TA02 on Line 6 are steadily and rapidly advancing.

Line 6 is planned to be opened to traffic in 2023. After the completion of the line, 6 vehicles of type B are used for grouping, with a maximum speed of 100 kilometers per hour. By then, Line 6 will be in operation with Line S1, and will be in operation with Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, Line 4, Line S3, and Lines 5 and 7 currently under construction. Transfer between 13 rail lines.

After the project is completed, a large number of people will be evacuated on the ground, effectively staggering the congestion of commuting peaks, facilitating residents ’travel, greatly alleviating the traffic pressure in the central area of Nanjing, shortening the time distance between the main urban area and the surrounding groups, and further improving the network of Nanjing rail transit Operational capability.
