On December 8, 2023, State Power Investment Corporation of China Beijing New Energy held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Beijing Guangdong Baisha Bangxi 100MW agricultural photovoltaic complementary project, marking the official start of the company's first centralized photovoltaic power generation project this year.
The project is located in Baisha Li Autonomous County, Hainan Province, with a planned total area of approximately 2221 acres and a planned investment of approximately 500 million yuan. Through the "block power generation and centralized grid connection" plan, a 100 MW photovoltaic power generation system, booster station, transmission line, and corresponding agricultural facilities will be constructed, and a new transmission line will be built and sent to Changjiang 110kV Taipo Station.
The project adopts a "photovoltaic+planting" model, planting efficient economic crops under photovoltaic arrays, which will form a complementary, efficient, and intensive photovoltaic agriculture integration project. After completion, it can provide about 165.3117 million kilowatt hours of green electricity annually, save about 50000 tons of standard coal, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 124600 tons. The project will drive the construction of local infrastructure through the construction of power projects. While effectively solving the problem of new energy transmission in the local area, it is expected to drive hundreds of local laborers to achieve stable employment, and has received strong support from the local government. This project is of great significance for adjusting the local energy structure, improving environmental quality, and saving energy and reducing emissions. Editor/Zhao E
