On December 13th, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Expressway Development Center revealed that since 2023, multiple expressways in Guangxi have been built and opened to traffic, including the Tiandong to Daxin, Daxin to Longzhou to Pingxiang, Pingnan to Wuxuan, Hezhou to Bama, Shuikou Chongzuo Aidian, and Shangsi to Fangchenggang expressways. The completion and opening of these projects have injected strong impetus into the high-quality development and rural revitalization of Guangxi. At the same time, Guangxi will also receive good news of the opening of a number of expressways, and it is expected that by the end of 2023, the mileage of expressways in Guangxi will exceed 9000 kilometers.
As a key infrastructure, highways have a significant impact on promoting high-quality economic development. Recently, Guangxi has made significant progress in highway construction, with a number of highway projects from Guilin to Liuzhou, from Tian'e via Fengshan to Bama, and from Pingtang to Tian'e about to be completed and opened to traffic. The completion of these projects will provide important transportation support for the development of Guangxi.
The Yuangui Liuzhou Expressway is the backbone of transportation in Guangxi, which has a significant impact on the economy along the route and has received high attention from society. With the continuous development of the local economy, traffic flow is increasing day by day, especially with a high proportion of trucks, leading to frequent road congestion, especially during major holidays, where traffic pressure is enormous. To address this issue, the Guiliu renovation and expansion project has been included in the plan and is expected to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2023. At that time, the Guiliu Expressway will be upgraded from the current two-way four lane to two-way eight lane.
On November 28th, the Tian'e Fengshan to Bama Expressway successfully passed the project handover acceptance. This inter provincial corridor connecting Guangxi and Guizhou is expected to be fully opened by the end of December. The total length of the project is 104.7 kilometers, with a bridge tunnel ratio of up to 65.6%. There are a total of 55 tunnels along the entire line, all of which are located in the typical karst landform and highly developed karst areas in Guangxi. Due to the complex geological and karst conditions, tunnel construction has become a difficult and critical point in the entire project construction. During the construction process, the project team overcame numerous difficulties and made every effort to ensure the safety of tunnel construction, laying a solid foundation for the smooth opening of the project.
By the end of 2023, Nanning City will build two important expressways: the Nanning section of the Nanning Zhanjiang Expressway and the Cenxi Daxin Highway (Hengxian Nanning section), which will promote the total length of expressways in Nanning City to exceed 1300 kilometers, forming a high-speed road network of "one ring and ten shots". Among them, the Cenxi to Daxin Highway (Hengxian to Nanning section) is the first expressway in Nanning city to be built in one go with eight lanes in both directions, and is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in December 2023. This project is an important component of the new inter provincial corridor between Guangxi and Guangdong, and also an important channel for Guangxi to connect with the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. The Nanheng Expressway connects Hengzhou City, Qingxiu District, and Yongning District in Nanning City. The main line starts from Mashan Town in Hengzhou City and ends at Pumiao Town in Yongning District. After the completion of the project, the travel time from the main urban area of Nanning to Hengzhou City will be shortened to within 1 hour.
The route of the Nanning Zhanjiang Expressway project starts near Pumiao Town in Yongning District, Nanning City, and connects with the planned Nalian Avenue in Yongning District. It runs from west to east, passing through Yongning District, Lingshan County and Pubei County in Qinzhou City, and Bobai County in Yulin City, and finally reaches the junction of Guangxi and Guangdong in Nabu Town. At present, the Nanning section of the project has fully sounded the horn of opening to traffic. After its opening, the comprehensive transportation system service level along the line will be improved, promoting the complementary resource advantages and common development of Nanning urban area and surrounding towns. The Nanzhan Expressway project is planned to be fully completed and opened to traffic in the first half of 2024, forming a more convenient cross provincial expressway passage from Nanning to Zhanjiang, and helping Guangxi accelerate the construction of a new pattern of East China integration and open development. Key words: the Belt and Road, the Belt and Road project, overseas project
The starting point of this project is located at the Tanluoxi Hub Interchange in Nanning City, connected to the Nanning South Transit Line Expressway, and the overall direction is from southwest to northeast. The project endpoint is located at the Dingdang East Interchange of the under construction Tian'e to Beihai Expressway. After the completion of this project, it will be of great significance for accelerating the construction of Nanning's regional international comprehensive transportation hub, improving and optimizing the Guangxi expressway network, and promoting the comprehensive economic and social development along the route.
