In terms of soft connectivity, Suzhou has actively promoted and co-built national policy communication, infrastructure connectivity, unimpeded trade, financial integration, and people-to-people exchanges, and accelerated the construction of a new pattern of all-round connectivity. For example, Suzhou is the only city in the country to achieve air and sea transport with all countries and regions on the five continents, taking the lead in building a three-dimensional transport network of public rail transport + road transport + inland waterways, and the number of overseas economic and trade cooperation zones participated by Soviet enterprises has reached 46, ranking first in the country.

In terms of trade and investment, Suzhou has actively developed mutually beneficial trade and investment cooperation with co-co-founders, successfully held the fifth China International Import Expo, and advocated the establishment of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the Silk Road Fund, which have basically formed a new pattern of all-round opening up.
