Recently, Sumida Group of China Machinery Industry and Russia's Northern Gold Mine signed a heavy oil power plant project contract. According to the contract, Jiangsu Sumida Group will design and construct a heavy oil power plant at the Leifa Gold Mine in Guinea, Russia. The power plant has a designed power generation capacity of 33 MW and a contract value of US $ 23 million.

Jiangsu Sumida Group Co., Ltd. is an important member enterprise of China National Machinery Industry Corporation and an important state-owned key enterprise directly managed by the Central Government of China National Machinery Industry Corporation. Now Sumida Group has grown into a modern manufacturing service enterprise group focusing on the three major areas of trade and service, engineering contracting, and investment development. Under such circumstances, the heavy oil power station project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation at the end of 2021, which will reduce the greenhouse effect emissions by 17,000 tons per year, which will greatly promote Guinea ’s environmental protection and green sustainable development.

Guinea ’s economy is dominated by agriculture and mining, with a weak industrial base. It is believed that the completion of the project will promote the development of Guinea ’s agricultural, mining and industrial chains, drive the construction of grassroots facilities, improve and improve people ’s living standards, and play a huge role in promoting it.
