India is rich in mineral resources. Recently, China Metallurgical International has successfully won the bid for the EPC project of India Vedanta Group's blast furnace expansion and renovation.

Vedanta Group of India is a large resource-based company listed in London and headquartered in London, England. The company is mainly engaged in the exploration, mining and processing of minerals such as oil and natural gas, zinc, lead, silver, copper, iron and aluminum. It is a well-known large enterprise group.

The project is to transform the existing 450m3 blast furnace into an EPC project of 618m3 blast furnace. The main contents of the project include the system upgrade of the blast furnace body, hot blast furnace, dry dust removal and automation. The scope of the project includes furnace shells, cooling staves, refractory materials, water-cooled piping replacement, hot air furnace grid bricks and refractory replacement, dry bag dust removal and increased cabinets, automatic secondary system design, equipment material supply and construction. The project has a tight construction period and heavy tasks, and the contract stipulates that iron will be produced on December 31, 2020.

China Metallurgical International will innovate the contract implementation model, refine project management, and strive to hedge the adverse factors brought by the epidemic situation to the project construction, and win overseas markets with the product quality that customers trust.
