According to reports, the planned area of the Eastern New District of Chengdu is 729 square kilometers, and the spatial scope includes the administrative areas of 13 towns (streets) under the jurisdiction of Jianyang City. In the future, the Eastern New District of Chengdu will strive to become a new home for the country to open a new gateway to the west and south, a new platform for the twin-city economic circle in Chengdu-Chongqing region, a new support for urbanization, a new engine for the development of the new economy, and a new home that highlights the park's urban philosophy.

It is reported that 51 projects are under construction this time, with a total planned investment of 238.503 billion yuan. This year, the planned investment is 23.312 billion yuan. Among them, there are 23 comprehensive development projects in the district with a total investment of 16.986 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 3.524 billion yuan; 19 industrialized projects with a total investment of 50.11 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 5.948 billion yuan; 9 infrastructure projects with a total investment of 1714.07 100 million yuan, with an annual planned investment of 13.84 billion yuan.

According to relevant plans, after the establishment of the new district in the east of Chengdu, it will give full play to the leading role of the polar core and reshape the industrial economic geography of Chengdu.
