Recently, as soon as the traffic flow of Zhuhai Bridge is eased, the crowd flow is dispersed, and there is no fear of the impact of bad weather, the tunnel project that can be opened to traffic for 24 hours has new developments. According to the official report issued by the Zhuhai Municipal Development and Reform Bureau "Approval" indicates that the Zhuhai Tunnel is about to be officially launched.
It is understood that the Zhuhai Tunnel project starts from the main line of Zhuhai Avenue in the west, turns south and passes through the auxiliary road of Zhuhai Avenue, then turns into the south side of Zhuhai Bridge, enters the middle section of Modaomen Waterway with the shield section, and continues to go east through the dark embankment. Turn north to access the main line of Zhuhai Avenue. On the west side of Lantern Highway, there are a pair of entrances and exits from the south to the north, and on the east side, a pair of entrances and exits from the north to the south. Traffic flow in the direction of Lantern Highway needs to be guided to the auxiliary road system in advance on the east bank of Zhuhai Bridge.
A pair of entrances and exits are set up on the east bank before entering the tunnel. The south entrance serves the traffic from the west of Zhuhai Bridge to the east to the main line, and the north exit meets the needs of the main line vehicles passing the auxiliary road to the bridge, to Huafa Shui'an Community and U-turn, and also serves as the tunnel Fault-tolerant lanes, dangerous goods vehicles and ultra-wide overloaded vehicles can use this exit to walk through the auxiliary road system. The current status of the east coast of Zhuhai Bridge is a pair of entrances to the north and south. This project reverses the direction of the entrances and exits. In order to make the distribution of entrances and exits across the line more balanced, The direction of the current pair of entrances and exits on the east side of Pingxi Shilu is also adjusted. The south side is adjusted from the entrance to the exit, and the north side is adjusted from the exit to the entrance.
The total length of the project is about 5.0km, of which the length of the tunnel is about 4.48km (including the length of the shield section 2.93km), two-way six lanes (single-hole three-lane), double-pipe single-layer shield scheme, diameter 14.5m. The design speed (connecting to the main line) is 80km / h; the auxiliary road has two lanes and six lanes, and the design speed of the auxiliary road is 50km / h.
The construction investment of the tunnel project is relatively large, which solves the employment problem for the nearby people and promotes the connected development of the surrounding catering and related industries. After completion, it will effectively improve the long-term congested Zhuhai Bridge and divert the traffic volume of the Zhuhai Bridge. On the other hand, Zhuhai Tunnel also has a 24-hour passage function.
