On May 6, 2020, China Harbour won the bid for the southern connection of the C5 highway in the Philippines. The project includes Segment 2 and Segment 3A2. The construction period is 731 days and 547 days respectively. The owner is Cavite Infrastructure Construction Company.
The main work of the project includes the construction of the main line of the newly built 3.6 km two-way 6-lane expressway, as well as viaducts, cross-over bridges, culverts, ramps, toll stations and ancillary facilities. The project is a key project connecting the C5 ring road and the E3 highway. After the project is completed, it will effectively improve the current traffic congestion in Metro Manila, the Philippines, and promote regional economic development.
