According to the information released, the two lines are scheduled to start construction on August 1. The first-phase project of Changchun Rail Transit Line 5 is a southwest-northeast backbone line, which strengthens the connection between the high-tech industrial development zone and the central urban area and guides the rational development of the urban pattern of Changchun. The planned construction start date is August 1, 2020, and the planned completion date is January 30, 2026.
