On May 30, 2020, the completion of the VII tender for the east section of the new construction of the North Crossing of the Shanghai Major Construction Project undertaken by Shanghai Construction Engineering was successfully completed.

The turn-over was divided into two parts: the first-stage turn-over of the main structure of the North Crossing Passage VII (490m elevated section) and the north-crossing of the North Crossing Passage Ⅶ standard of the Hongkou Port Bridge Reconstruction Project. It started at 11 pm and lasted until about 4 am on the 30th, and successfully completed the handover task.

One-stage turnover of the main structure of the 490m elevated section of the VII standard

The scope of this turn-over is Haining Road (Wuzhen Road-Tibet North Road). After the turn-over, the main line will be bidirectional with 6 lanes. The intersection will maintain the channelized lanes. The total board width is not less than 3.5m.

The division of work of all personnel in the project department is clear. Under the unified command of the project manager, the road turnover work is in full swing. The clearing and resetting of the original markings of the road, the traffic control and isolation pier of the existing intersection traffic and the intersection intersection The arrangement of the various tasks started in an orderly manner. In the process of road overturning, with the cooperation of various departments, the on-site vehicles traveled in an orderly manner, and the fence installation was progressing smoothly. It took 3 hours and at 2 a.m. on the 30th, the isolation pier of the whole line was finished, and the traffic lane conversion was successfully completed.

At present, the traffic on the spot is relatively stable, and vehicles and pedestrians pass in an orderly manner according to the guidance signs. The successful completion of the traffic turnover task marks the official start of the construction of the 490m elevated section of the North Crossing, which has laid a solid foundation for the next comprehensive construction.

Ⅶ Turnover of the North Section of the Hongkou Port Bridge Reconstruction Project in the Bid Section

The shield of the Ⅶ bidding section of the new construction of the Beiheng Passage passes through the existing Hongkou Port Bridge in the form of a tunnel at the Hongkou Port of Haining Road. During the demolition and reconstruction of the Hongkou Port Bridge, in order to ensure road traffic from 3 to 3 to 6 lanes, the entire bridge reconstruction will be divided into three stages: north, south and middle. This turnover will be the first northern area to be constructed.

In order to ensure the advancement of the bridge overturning of the north of the Hongkou Port Bridge, on May 29th, various relevant departments and units have already arrived at the Hongkou Port Bridge and started the preparation work for the overturning. Due to the heavy rainfall and windy weather, Shanghai is still hot during the day. At night, the temperature drops suddenly, especially the heavy rain brings great difficulty to the rewiring of the road.

In the face of bad weather, the on-site builders cooperated and worked steadily in accordance with the traffic organization design plan. Until about 4 a.m. on May 30, with the joint efforts of all staff, the Hongkou Port Bridge bridge was successfully completed in the north, which was a key step for the node goal of the Ⅶ bid section of the new construction of the North Crossing.

The first phase of the main structure of the North Crossing Channel VII (490m elevated section) and the smooth completion of the north of the bridge of the Hongkou Port Bridge Reconstruction Project have laid a solid foundation for the next comprehensive construction of the North Crossing Channel New Project VII.
