On June 11, 2020, the Baoyin High-speed Railway reported the latest developments. The first land use of Yinchuan-Hinong section has been approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources. The land acquisition and demolition work for the first land use of the project construction has officially started, and construction will begin at the end of June.

The entire Yinchuan-Hinong section of Baoyin High Speed Rail involves Xixia District, Jinfeng District, Helan County, Yinchuan City, Dawukou District, Huinong District, and Pingluo County in Shizuishan City. The land acquisition and demolition of the project's first land acquisition will complete the land acquisition and temporary access roads by the end of June to ensure the construction of Baoyin High-speed Railway; the demolition and resettlement of residential houses along the line will be completed before the end of August to ensure the construction period of the control project; the completion of the enterprises along the line at the end of October The relocation compensation work ensures the comprehensive construction of the high-speed rail first-use land.

It is reported that Baoyin high-speed railway is an important part of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network from Beijing to Lanzhou. After the whole line is completed, the high-speed railway channel from Yinchuan to Baotou to Beijing will be formed. The journey from Yinchuan to Beijing will be shortened to about 5 hours . The Yinchuan-Hinong section of Baoyin High Speed Rail has a total length of 100.6 kilometers, a total investment of 12.87 billion yuan, and a construction period of 4 years.
