On June 12, 2020, China Communications Construction announced that the 130m piling ship "Sanhangzhuang No. 20" of China Communications Third Aviation Bureau had successfully completed the ship at T32 in the Yangxi Shasha No. 345 offshore wind power project in Yangjiang, Guangdong. The first piling task after delivery.

The first pile foundation is designed as a rock-embedded pile foundation with a length of 92 meters and a single pile weighing about 200 tons. In the first pile operation, "Sanhang Pile No. 20" also encountered the problems of running in equipment and familiarizing with the process after the new ship was shipped. From the completion of the preparation of the vehicle at 09:10 on June 11, after moving the ship to lift the pile, lifting the pile, placing the cap under the pile, removing the cap and pressing the pile, hammering the pile, and finally completing the pile sinking, it took about 16 hours. The number of hammers is 848, and the maximum energy is 300 kJ.

Due to sufficient preparations and thorough on-site support work, the problems have been solved one by one, and the first pile sinking task was successfully completed.

The "Sanhangzhuang No. 20" ship started construction on December 18, 2018 in Maozhou Island, and a launching ceremony was held on December 20, 2019. On May 29, 2020, it was officially towed to the construction of the China Merchants Heavy Industry Manzhou Island Base for construction The scene is currently the world's largest pile driver. "Sanhang Pile No. 20" has a length of 108 meters, a width of 38 meters, a depth of 7.2 meters, a total displacement of 10393 tons, a pile frame height of 133 meters, a double hook maximum lifting capacity of up to 700 tons, and a maximum pile diameter of 5 meters.

The ship adopts mature hydraulic driving method to provide power source for the three main systems of the whole ship-ship winch operating system, pile frame lifting operating system and luffing system. The pile driving hammer adopts the most advanced and independent hydraulic system IHC-S800 hydraulic hammer currently on the market, and the whole ship cooling system adopts a non-seawater direct contact internal circulation method.

"Sanhangzhuang No. 20" successfully completed the site's first pile sinking task, and verified the ship's powerful piling operation ability and efficiency with its strength. In the course of the next operation, "Sanhangzhuang No. 20" will continue to be optimized, and through continuous interaction between people and ships, the performance and working efficiency of Sanhangzhuang No. 20 will be fully utilized, with higher efficiency and more High-precision construction standards lay down every solid wind power pile.
