On June 27, 2020, the National Key Project Yinxi High Speed Rail Shangge Village Tunnel was fully opened. Its penetration marks the completion of the main project of Yinxi High Speed Rail. Yinxi High Speed Rail is the first high-speed railway built in the longest section of the loess layer in China. The loess thickness is hundreds of meters deep.
The Yinge High-speed Railway passes through the Shangge Village Tunnel on the Loess Plateau with a total length of 6.78 kilometers. The construction risk of the fifth and sixth grade surrounding rocks is 93% long, just like the construction of the Shangge Village Tunnel on the water tofu layer. It is a world-class Engineering problems. For the first time, the project adopts new technologies such as "anti-crystallizing and maintainable" drainage system and vertical grouting on the surface, which ensures the smooth passage of the tunnel and creates favorable conditions for opening to traffic by the end of 2020.
Yinxi High Speed Rail is one of the main channels of China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railways. It connects the three provinces of Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia with a length of 618 kilometers on the main line and a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour. It is planned to be opened to traffic by the end of 2020. Editor/Huang Lijun
