On June 29, 2020, China Communications Construction issued an announcement that the Hubei Xiangyang Fengchu Bridge, which was invested and constructed by the Second Aviation Administration, was officially opened to traffic, adding a new passage through the Hanjiang River between Xiangcheng and Fancheng, and its unique appearance also made it Xiangyang The city's new landmark, this is also the first bridge across the river to be opened to traffic in Hubei since the outbreak in 2020.

The Fengchu Bridge project is the first batch of PPP projects in Hubei Province, and was selected as the third batch of PPP demonstration projects by the Ministry of Finance. The Second Aviation Administration adopted the "PPP+Government Procurement" model. The project has a full life cycle of 15 years, including a construction period of 3 years and operation. 12 years. The bridge is located in the inner ring of Xiangyang City. It adopts a two-way six-lane road with a design speed of 60 kilometers per hour and a total length of 2.6 kilometers. The main bridge across the river is a three-tower steel-concrete composite beam suspension bridge with a total length of 756 meters and a main span of 378 meters.

The opening of the bridge effectively relieved the pressure of Xiangyang City to cross the river and improved the local traffic conditions.
