On June 26, 2020, the consortium and owner of the China Power Construction subsidiary hydropower international, power construction municipality and Polish Intercor company Polish National Railways (PKP) signed the Polish E75 under the witness of Mr. ADAMZYK, Minister of Infrastructure of Poland Contract for the repair project of the Chizhev-Bialystok railway.

The main work of the project is the repair and reconstruction of the 71KM double-track railway and five main stations and auxiliary facilities in the Chizhev to Bialystok section. The funding source is the EU construction fund and the owner's self-financing. As an important part of the pan-European railway backbone network, it is also an important line for China-Europe trains to enter Poland. This project has important interconnection and significance. After the project is completed, the maximum operating speed of the line will reach 200 km/h. The train ride from Warsaw to Bialystok was shortened to 1 hour and 25 minutes.

The signing of this project marks the successful entry of China Power Construction into the railway market of Poland and the European Union. It is also the first time that Chinese enterprises have signed a contract for a spot exchange railway project in the European Union market.
