On July 27, the construction of the first phase of the Ezhou Airport Expressway officially started, which was invested and constructed by the Hubei Transportation Investment Group. In the future, it will be connected to the Wuhuang Expressway.

The project starts at the south exit of Ezhou Airport and ends at the north of Tingzu Town, Ezhou City, connecting Wuhuang Expressway in the form of a hub interchange. The main line has a mileage of about 14 kilometers, and the estimated total amount is about 2.75 billion yuan. It will be constructed according to the standard of a two-way six-lane expressway.

After the completion of the project, it will further improve the regional road network structure of Ezhou, ease the existing traffic pressure, and will also promote the development of the airport economic zone, enhance the overall status of Ezhou city, and promote the development of regional economic integration.
