On July 27, the second phase of the maintenance dredging project at the Port of Beira in Mozambique, which was undertaken by China National Aeronautics and Transportation Administration, officially started. This is a successful renewal after the completion of the first phase of the dredging project (2018-2020).

The main construction content of the project is the dredging of the trailing suction vessel channel and the harbor basin. The dredged soil is thrown out to the dumping area. The total amount of dredging is about 1.5 million cubic meters. The contract period is 1 year.

The successful renewal of the second phase project means that the owner fully affirmed the overall technical level, management ability and comprehensive strength of CCCC Dredging. After the completion of the project, it will provide strong support for the normal operation of the Port of Beira, and will continue to promote the economic development of Mozambique and even the inland neighboring countries of East Africa.

CCCC is a participant and witness in the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. For the maintenance dredging project of Beira Port, CCCC has scientifically prevented epidemics and created favorable conditions, taking various measures to ensure the steady progress of the project and winning unanimous praise from the owners.
