Recently, Zhongshan was announced by the Development and Reform Commission that the Poly Growth Project and the Zhongshan Transportation Development Group Consortium won the bid for the Zhongshan East Outer Ring Expressway project with a bid amount of 24.78 billion yuan.
The project is divided into two phases:
Phase I Project
The first phase of the project’s route starts at Dayan Island in Huangpu Town, connects with the Guangzhongjiang Expressway with Dayan Interchange, crosses the Dakui River in the southeast direction, and then sets up a viaduct to cross the Nansha Port Railway, and is laid on the same line as the Mingu Highway. As a ground system, the ancient highway passes through the Gaoping Industrial Zone of Sanjiao Town, crosses the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway, Tianji Shali, Nansan Highway, and Fanzhong Highway, and then enters Minzhong Town. Jiawei crosses the Nanzhong Expressway, crosses the Hengmen waterway and enters the torch area. A tunnel is set up to cross the big peak. The end point is at Shiqing Village, Nanlang Town, where it intersects with the Hengmen West Hub of Zhongkai Expressway.
The line has a total length of 35.3 kilometers, with 4 hub interchanges, 4 interchanges at entrances and exits, and 1 management center, service area, and maintenance work area.
Phase II
The tentative plan for the southern section of the second phase of the project starts at Nanlang Town and follows the end of the first phase. The route goes south through Dapu Ring, Jitoujiao, Sidong Mountain, and Yakou, and ends at Zhuhai Mingzhu Road. The main line of the project is all The length is 11.0km, and there are a total of cross gates set up across the line. Nanlang and Cuiheng South are interconnected with 3 locations and 1 parking area.
The tentative plan for the northern section of the second phase of the project. The starting point and the Guangzhu West Line form a T-shaped full interchange. To the east, use the existing Jianye Middle Road corridor to set up a pair of up and down ramps to the Ronggui Outer Ring Road, and cross the eyebrow to the south. The Jiao River and Dakui River are connected with the Dayan Interchange between the Shunzhongshan East Outer Ring and the Guangzhongjiang Expressway. The main line is 5.5km in length.
The southern section of the first and second phases adopts the two-way eight-lane expressway standard with a design speed of 120 km/h, the roadbed is 42 meters wide, and the asphalt concrete pavement is adopted.
The northern section of the second phase of the project adopts the design speed of 80 km/h, starting from Dagang Interchange to Outer Ring Road Interchange, the standard roadbed width of 33.5 meters two-way six-lane expressway standard; Outer Ring Road Interchange to Dayan Interchange, the standard roadbed width of 42m Two-way eight-lane standard, using asphalt concrete pavement.
