The Rongjiang Bridge is a controlled project of the Chaoshan Ring Highway project. The total length of the bridge is 4840 meters, the bridge deck width is 33.5 meters, and the design speed is 100 kilometers per hour. It is designed as a two-way six-lane road. The south bank of Rongjiang River on the east side of Xihu Town, Chaoyang District, City. The bridge is divided into a conventional approach bridge on the north bank of the Rongjiang River, a bridge across the levee on the north bank, a main bridge on the Rongjiang River, and a conventional approach bridge on the south bank of the Rongjiang River. The main bridge is a cable-stayed bridge with double towers and double cable planes with a span of 400 meters.

There are a total of 63 steel box beams in the whole bridge, and the heaviest beam section is 340 tons. In order to successfully install this "big guy", the project has successively solved the problems of large-tonnage steel structure slippage and side span steel box girder variable-amplitude span pier construction through technical research. At the same time, the use of intelligent equipment such as steel box girder and plate unit robot welding, steel box girder segment automatic submerged arc welding machine, etc., controlled the beam section welding time within 50 hours, and finally successfully saved more than 30 days of construction period, ensuring that the typhoon The closure was achieved before. This time the main bridge closure was hoisted by a single-sided deck crane with the accuracy controlled within 5 mm.
