Recently, Hubei Province held a preliminary promotion meeting for major railway projects to ensure that the construction of the “4+2” major railway project in Hubei Province will start in 2020. The six high-speed railways are: Shiyan-Xi'an high-speed railway, Wuhan-Yichang section of Yanjiang high-speed railway, Xiangyang-Jingmen section of Hunan high-speed railway, Jingmen-Jingzhou intercity railway, Wuhan hub through line, and Wuhan-Hefei section of high-speed railway along the river.
West Ten High Speed Rail
The West Ten High-speed Railway is an important part of the Yinchuan-Wuhan high-speed railway. It is a double-track high-speed railway with a design speed of 350 km/h. The main line of the West Ten High-speed Railway is 256.7 kilometers long and has 7 stations on the whole line. The line starts from Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province in the west, passes through the Qinling Mountains in the southeast, runs through the two cities of Shangluo and Shiyan, and connects with the Wuhan-Shiyan railway, forming another express railway passenger passage from Xi'an to Wuhan.
Wuhan-Yichang section of the high-speed rail along the Yangtze River
The Wuhan-Yichang section of the high-speed rail along the Yangtze River starts at Hankou Station, passes through Hanchuan East, Tianmen North, Zhongxiang South, Jingmen West, Dangyang West, and ends at Yichang North Station, with a total length of about 289.44 kilometers. Among them, the section from Wuhan to Yichang passes through Tianmen for about 40 kilometers and passes through 6 towns.
Xiangyang-Jingmen Section of Hunan High Speed Rail
The Hohhot-Nanning high-speed railway is a high-speed railway channel between Hohhot and Nanning. It is a national eight-vertical and eight-horizontal high-speed railway line. Xiangyang is at the center of this railway line.
Jingmen-Jingzhou Intercity Railway
The Jingmen-Jingzhou Intercity Railway starts from Jingmen West Station in Zhanghe Town, Jingmen, and connects with the planned national north-south expressway Hunan High-speed Railway, to Jingzhou City in the south, and connects with Hanyi Railway. The planned Jingyue Railway connects with Beijing-Guangzhou aisle. From north to south, Jingmen West Station (Xiang-Chang Railway), Shilipu Station and Jingzhou Station (reconstruction of existing stations) are set up on Jingjing Railway.
Wuhan hub through line
The main line of the Wuhan hub through line starts from Yunmeng East Station of the Han-10 High-speed Railway and ends at Wulongquan East Station of the Wuhan-Guangzhou High-speed Railway. Three new stations will be established in Xiaogan South, Hanchuan East and New Hanyang. The total length of the whole line is about 151.5km, of which the bridge is 116.2km, and the bridge ratio is 82.15%.
Wuhan-Hefei section of the high-speed rail along the Yangtze River
The Wuhan-Hefei section of the high-speed rail along the Yangtze River is the latest section of the high-speed rail channel along the Yangtze River where preliminary work has started. The preliminary prospecting node is the north of the existing Hewu Railway, Hankou-Macheng North-Tangjiahui-Jinzhai East-Lu'an-Hefei South, with a total length of about 340 kilometers.
After the completion of these high-speed rail projects, it will further improve the layout of the road network in Hubei Province, shorten the time and space distance between the urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and the Yangtze River Delta, and promote the efficient development of the economy and society.
