Recently, the Liuzhou-Wuzhou Railway has begun to publicize the risks of social stability. At present, the project has entered the stage of preparing and submitting relevant prerequisites for feasibility study approval.
The Liuzhou-Wuzhou Railway has a total length of 241.5 kilometers. The starting point of the project is in Liujiang District, Liuzhou City. The line starts from Jinde Station and crosses Quannan Expressway to the southeast through Chuanshan Town and Shilong Town. It crosses the Liujiang River at Mengshan Mountain and then along Liuwu. Traveling on the west side of the expressway, passing through the north side of Huangmao Township, set up Wuxuan Station in the north of Ertang Town, after leaving the station, set up the line to the southeast, set up Dongxiang Station on the north side of Dongxiang, after leaving the station, the line enters Guiping Xishan Scenic Area, passing through Zijing Town , Jintian Town, set up Guiping North Station on the north side of Jintian Town, and set up Mengjiang Station through Mengjiang Town to the east; after that, the line will go northeast, set up Wangwu Station on the south side of Wangwu Village, cross the Baomao Expressway and turn to the northeast. In addition, it is beneficial to introduce Wuzhou Station to the north side of Zhan Line. There are 10 stations on the whole line (8 intermediate stations and 2 overpass stations), with a design speed of 160km/h and a reserve of 200km/h. The railway level is level 1, and the number of main lines is double lines.
It is reported that the Liuzhou-Wuzhou Railway is an important normal-speed railway passage from the southwestern region to the Pearl River Delta in the National Medium and Long-term Railway Network Planning. It is also an important part of the railway network in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. After the completion of the railway project, it will further alleviate the existing traffic pressure in the region, help improve the traffic operation capacity, and promote the construction and development of Guangxi connecting the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
