The new EW200E material loader weighs 22.6 tons and is powered by Volvo's fifth stage engine-which can provide 129 kilowatts (173 horsepower). This machine has a straight arm of 5.5 or 6.25 meters and a gooseneck arm of 4 meters, with a forward reach of 9.3 or 10.0 meters.

Volvo CE has also introduced a new 7.25m straight arm for its existing EW240E material handling truck, which combines with the existing 5m long gooseneck arm to reach a range of 12m.

Designed for waste disposal

The EW200E material handling machine is based on decades of excellent engineering design and is specially designed for waste disposal applications. Since it shares mature components with the EW240E material handler and other existing Volvo wheeled excavators, Volvo has spent a lot of time perfecting this new machine to meet specific waste disposal requirements. This smaller size material handling truck is based on the established design of its big brother, and also has a series of new features, which have been rigorously tested under real life conditions.

The EW200E material handling truck is designed to maintain high productivity and efficiency. It is equipped with a specially adjusted hydraulic system. Compared with standard excavators, other improvements include hydraulic lifting cab, four stabilizers (front blades and rear outriggers are standard), all-rubber tires and customized straight arms, which can be installed with 4m gooseneck arms or 3.5m sorting arm. Volvo material handlers can be ordered at the factory without a steering column-allowing the operator to control the entire machine using only the joystick.

The auxiliary circuit installed in the factory makes the sorting grab and orange peel grab a perfect match with the Volvo machine. These accessories are available through the Volvo distribution network-suitable for both material handlers.

The boom floating function and boom cylinder damping device improve performance by minimizing vibration and fixing the grab in place to improve stability. In order to improve accuracy, the grab control and soft swing system work together when working at the same time, while the optimized hydraulic system provides immediate response.

Comfortable distance

The operator can work comfortably in the spacious Volvo cab, which can be up to 5 meters above the ground. The cab also uses a double damping cab bracket, which can reduce noise and vibration and maintain stable operation during high-altitude operations.

The first joystick control concept on the EW240E material handling machine can now complete outriggers, blades and cab lifting functions without removing the hand from the joystick. Both material handlers are equipped with an adjustable arm entry restriction function to prevent collisions between the cab and the grab. The height restriction function provides further safety guarantee for indoor operations. In addition, thanks to the brightly colored armrests and increased steps on the outriggers, it is now easier for operators to enter and exit the cab.

The EW200E material handling truck can not only be tailored to the job at hand, but also can be equipped with a variety of options according to the customer's job requirements. The Volvo cab uses a large area of glass to provide a full range of vision. In order to further enhance safety, customers can choose Volvo's intelligent vision function or integrated polycarbonate windows. To improve convenience, the Comfort Drive Control (CDC) gives the operator the opportunity to steer the machine to 19 km/h using only the wheel on the joystick. All these functions are already available on the existing EW240E material handling machine.

E is for efficiency

As a leader, the EW200E material handling truck is ingenious and fuel-efficient. The automatic idling function and the automatic engine shutdown function together help reduce fuel consumption. The ECO mode of the EW200E material handling machine can be turned on automatically, which enhances its functions, improves fuel efficiency, and reduces machine wear.

In order to keep running, the EW200E material handling machine is designed to facilitate maintenance. The lubrication points of all E-series wheeled excavators are centralized, and the filter is placed behind the wide-open engine door that can be accessed from the ground. By improving access to areas such as the pump room, maintenance work becomes easier.
