The Ministry of Water Resources will continue to speed up the preliminary work of major water conservancy projects, deepen the preliminary demonstrations, adhere to the conservation and utilization of water resources, intensive and economical use of land, do a good job in environmental assessment, resettlement plans, and speed up project review and approval.

According to Zhang Xiangwei, deputy director of the Planning and Planning Department of the Ministry of Water Resources, 150 major water conservancy projects require an investment of 1.29 trillion yuan, and the Ministry of Water Resources has implemented multiple channels. From January to September 2020, water conservancy will use 124.4 billion yuan in local government special bonds, which is 4.9 times the amount of local government special bonds in 2019, effectively supporting major water conservancy projects.
