The task of the committee is to prepare the "Jordan 2021-2023 Development Plan (EDP)" and conduct a mid-term review of the "Jordan Vision 2025" (launched in 2015).
The Minister of Planning pointed out that the "Jordan 2021-2023 Development Plan" aims to help Jordan alleviate the negative impact of the new crown epidemic. By reviewing Jordan's medium and long-term development goals and the "Jordan Vision 2025", it is determined whether the establishment of government departments and institutions will help these Implementation of goals.

Labadi also said that the Jordanian government needs to pay special attention to economic growth and employment promotion. At the same time, it must effectively use the opportunities brought by the epidemic crisis to further enhance the competitiveness of the Jordanian economy.
Prioritize the development of three core areas
The government will seriously study how to promote cooperation between the Jordanian government and the private sector and increase investment in agriculture, information and communication technology, medical and pharmaceutical sectors. Jordan will use its competitive advantages in the three core areas of agriculture and make it a regional hub to meet future challenges. The Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MOPIC) will formulate relevant goals, indicators, and investment methods of participants based on international best practices.
PPP reform matrix
The 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, as part of Jordan’s future reform roadmap, will be included as a national priority. Jordan will continue to guide capital investment to ensure sustainable development by financing the national plan. The government will sort out key industry strategies and fiscal reform ideas, implement government projects in accordance with public investment management procedures, and allow public-private partnerships (PPP) to play an important role in reducing epidemic losses and fiscal costs, and prioritize the allocation of financial resources to key projects.
Improve Jordan's plan to respond to the Syrian refugee crisis
MOPIC will adjust and improve Jordan's plan to respond to the Syrian refugee crisis, focusing on the development needs brought about by the refugee crisis, the impact of the Syrian refugee crisis and the new crown epidemic crisis on all areas of Jordan.
MOPIC plans and provides technical support
MOPIC has prepared the work plan, procedures and timetable for the mid-term review of "Jordan Vision 2025" and "Jordan 2021-2023 Development Plan". The EDP Coordination Committee is fully responsible by the Prime Minister and is composed of the secretary-generals of various directly affiliated departments and the heads of government agencies. The opinions and suggestions from 17 ministries (institutions) and the private sector will be summarized in the hands of the Prime Minister from the bottom up. MOPIC will provide the resources and technical support required by the EDP Coordination Committee.
