On October 21, the preliminary design of the first phase of Hefei Rail Transit Line 6 has been formally approved by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission. After the project bidding is completed, construction will start officially.

This time, according to the content of the approval, the line direction and laying method of the first phase of Line 6 were agreed in principle. The line runs from Jimingshan Road Station to Dongfeng Avenue Station, passing through the High-tech Zone, Shushan District, Baohe District, Yaohai District, and Feidong County, with a total length of 35.2 kilometers (of which the 7.7-km line is split into Line 4), all underground There are 22 stations (including 17 newly built stations).

The line uses a communication-based mobile block train control system, which has the function of realizing fully automatic operation, and the maximum operating speed is 100km/h.

In the next step, Hefei Railroad Group will further improve the design of the first phase of Line 6 based on the evaluation report and the opinions of the expert group.
