Nianbadu Town is located in the deep mountain valley of Xianxialing, Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It borders Pucheng County, Fujian Province to the south, Guangfeng County, Jiangxi Province to the west, Sifang Pass arches, Anmin Pass to the east, and Fengling Pass to the south. There is Liushiguan in the west and Xianxiaguan in the north.
The traveler Xu Xiake has been here 3 times and lingered for 4 days. As a large commercial port at the junction of the three provinces that has been prosperous for hundreds of years, it engraves time on the buildings of Ming and Qing dynasties with antiques and carved beams, and condenses it among the beautiful mountains and rivers.
This Jiangnan ancient fort was built in the Northern Song Dynasty and has a history of nearly a thousand years. At that time, there were 44 capitals in Jiangshan, and this place ranked twenty-eighth, hence the name Nianbadu. It is not only a famous historical and cultural town in China, but also a hometown of Chinese folk culture and art (folk song).
Walking on the bluestone road in the ancient town, the Hui-style horse head wall, the Fujian-style earth wall and the gate, the Jiangsu-Zhejiang school ridge and the hall, the architectural styles of the three provinces are intertwined. These ancient residential walls are built according to the natural topography. Connected and connected by the corridors, you can "not wear a hat in the sun, an umbrella in the rain, no going out, and no shoes on the road."
There are 36 houses, halls and 11 public buildings of various types of Ming and Qing Dynasties preserved intact here. It is a veritable museum of ancient architecture.
On a sunny afternoon, walking up the spring disc mountain, visiting Nianbadu.
Nianbadu Town has a beautiful natural ecological environment, with a forest coverage rate of over 89%. Looking around, the ancient town is hidden among the verdant mountains, and the mountain stream is murmured, and the spring is full of new vitality unique to nature.
The living area in the ancient town scenic spot is another scene. The buildings in Nianbadu Town are built on both sides of the ancient road and are 1 km long. In the past, the north was Xunli Street, which was dominated by residential buildings; the south was Fengxi Street, which was dominated by business.
Today, both sides of Qingshiban Road are unified with antique shops, orderly, still attracting tourists to stop and stay. As the most prosperous commercial port on the border of the three provinces, in its heyday, it was also this boulevard paved with bluestone slabs, with day-to-day shoulder men and night-time merchants, bustling from north to south, bustling for hundreds of years.
The architectural complex of the ancient town is grand, ancient and elegant, with its elegant and simple colors, and exquisite carving craftsmanship. From it, you can get a glimpse of the natural economic prosperity of the Chinese market town in the 19th century. The most distinctive feature of Nianbadu Residence is the treatment of the main station and gate tower.
The introverted spatial layout of the residences here makes the exteriors have tall walls. Each household deliberately makes special treatments from the outer walls of the gatehouse to reflect their social status and family style.
On both sides of the long streets are a number of gate towers and gate faces, overlaid with black tiles, the corners of the eaves are raised, and the heights are staggered, forming a rhythmic streetscape.
In addition to the treasures of architectural heritage, as the hometown of Chinese folk culture and art (folk songs), Nianbadu people are good at singing, with a lingering tone, or rough and unrestrained, coiling between the green waters and green mountains, forming a unique and vivid scenery .
Nianbadu's folk songs can be sung by one person or in pairs, and there are no fixed lyrics. Most of them are improvised and freely created. The content shows people's hardworking life and yearning for beautiful love. Editor/He Yuting
