Currently, the Russian "Progress" Space Rocket Center in Samara is developing the "Soyuz-5" medium-sized launch vehicle, which will be used in the Bayterek Space Launch Complex project in the future.
In 2018, Russia and Kazakhstan signed a supplementary protocol to the "Agreement on the Construction of the Bayterek Complex at the Baikonur Cosmodrome". Russia handed over the launch facility of the "Zenith-M" carrier rocket to Kazakhstan, and the Kazakhstan side will modernize it.
