In order to expand and improve its ability to provide a variety of high-quality services to the global construction market, the consortium that won the bid for the US$4.3 billion subway line in Bogotá will start bidding for construction materials and civil engineering in March 2021.

It was announced in October 2019 that a consortium composed of China Port Engineering and Xi’an Metro had won the competition to build the line. The main suppliers will provide products and services in all three phases of the project: permanent construction, distribution of construction machinery and consumables. Due to coronavirus restrictions, work on this project will be delayed for at least six months.

After the successful bidding process, it will gradually form a cross-regional unified engineering transaction market, create high-quality construction companies to participate in international general contracting competition, and improve the ability to provide owners with various services.
