In order to improve the living environment of the local low-income people, on November 3, 2020 local time, the Sri Lankan 700 affordable housing project invested by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and undertaken by the China Railway 25th Bureau Group broke ground in the northern suburbs of Colombo.
The project consists of 3 single buildings with a total construction area of approximately 64,500 square meters and a total of 700 residences. The AIIB Colombo Urban Reconstruction Project includes 5,500 houses and related infrastructure. This is China Railway Construction's first overseas Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank loan project and part of the Colombo Urban Reconstruction Project of the AIIB. After completion, it will greatly alleviate the shortage of local security housing, improve the quality of life of the people, optimize urban planning, and further inspire the capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo as a country The potential of the economic center.
