On November 7, 2020, China Railway Construction issued an announcement that China Railway 22nd Bureau won the bid for the construction of the first station front project of the new Tieli-Yichun Railway, with a bid amount of approximately 2.458 billion yuan.

The newly-built Tie-Yi Railway is drawn from the combined station branch of the existing Sui-Jia Line Tieli Station. After exiting the station, it turns to the northeast through the Tieli Development Zone, and crosses the Heha Expressway and Provincial Highway 207 all the way north, before crossing Heha Expressway again Enter the expressway service area and set up Riyuexia Station. After exiting the station, the line crosses the service area, runs parallel to the east side of Heha Expressway, continues northward, crosses Provincial Highway S207 and Heha Expressway to the east of Jiefang Village, and walks on the west side of the expressway, crossing Qiannen Expressway in turn After Yaohe and Provincial Highway 207, the new Yichun West Station will eventually be built. The new main line is 112.299km long, the bridge length is 28.447km, and the bridge ratio is 25.3%. There are a total of 3 stations on the whole line, one of the existing stations will be renovated into Tieli Station, and two new stations will be built, namely Riyuexia Station and Yichun West Station. Main technical standards: The railway grade is high-speed railway, the number of main lines is double lines, the design speed is 250km/h, the line spacing is 4.6m, the minimum curve radius is 3500m in general and 3000m in difficult areas, and the limit slope is generally 20‰. The effective length of the line is 650m, the train operation control mode is the CTCS-2 level train control system, and the train command mode is the centralized dispatching.

The construction of this project will further anchor the spatial pattern of the urban agglomeration, strengthen the internal self-connection of the Harbin-Changsha urban agglomeration, and at the same time include the cities of Yichun and Heihe into the radiation scope of the urban agglomeration, and promote the integrated development of the Harbin-Changsha urban agglomeration.
