On November 17, 2020, the Linzi-Linyi Expressway project invested and constructed by Shandong High Speed Group was approved by the Shandong Provincial Development and Reform Commission.

It is understood that Linzi-Linyi Expressway starts from Zhanhua to the end of Linzi Expressway (G20 Qingyin Expressway Zibo East Hub) and ends at G1511 Rilan Expressway southeast of Qingtuo Town, Yinan County, Linyi City, with a total length of 192 kilometers and a total investment 33.8 billion yuan, with a design speed of 120 km/h, passing through 8 counties (cities) including Linzi District, Zhangdian District, Zichuan District, High-tech Zone, Boshan District, Yiyuan County, Linyi City, Yinan County and Yishui County, Zibo City ,Area).

There are 4 super bridges, 17 bridges, 15 medium bridges, and 31 tunnels across the line; 16 interchanges (3 hub interchanges, 13 general interchanges), 79 separate interchanges, 73 flyovers; 5 service areas, There are 2 maintenance work areas, 2 road section monitoring centers, 7 tunnel management and maintenance stations, and 14 ramp toll stations. Among them, the two-way six-lane expressway standard is adopted for the starting point to the planned Jiwei-Weiwei high-speed section, and the two-way four-lane expressway standard is adopted for the planned Jiwei-Weiwei high-speed section to the terminal section.

In the future, the construction of the Linzi-Linyi Expressway will greatly improve the distribution system of the expressway network in Shandong Province, further promote the eradication of poverty and prosperity in the old revolutionary areas, and the development and utilization of resources along the route, so as to realize the efficient linkage development of the Shandong provincial capital economic circle and the southern Shandong economic circle.
