On November 24, 2020, Lieutenant General Asim, Chairman of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Affairs Bureau, held a meeting to discuss the progress of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. The meeting discussed the proposal to establish a CPEC building in Lahore, Punjab. All parties agreed to take necessary measures to promote the development of Pakistan's agriculture, especially the development of the seed industry.
Asim said that CPEC projects are being implemented at an accelerated pace, and China's professional experience in the agricultural field will bring huge growth potential to Pakistan's agricultural development. The government will take the following measures to support the development of the center: 1. Provide 13,000 acres of land exclusively for seed development and agricultural research. 2. Set up an information desk in the CPEC Building to provide local investors with relevant information about China's industrial and agricultural development. 3. The government will provide a variety of incentives and safety guarantees for Chinese investors who come to set up companies in the province. 4.
