On December 6, 2020, the new Altay-Fuyun-Jundong Railway, which was constructed by the First China Railway First Institute of Survey and Design and China Railway 21st Bureau Group, was opened to traffic. This marked the layout of Xinjiang’s four circular railway networks. The Northern Xinjiang Ring Railway was the first to be completed, and the Xinjiang Ring Railway network was also accelerated.
The A-Fujian Railway is located in the Altay area and Changji Prefecture of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The line starts from the Altai Station of the Bei-A Railway and ends at the Zhundongbei Station. The northern end is connected to the Wubei-Jiangjunmiao Railway. The total length is 417 kilometers. National Railway Class I railway with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour. Construction of the project started in 2016 and was implemented in two sections from Altay to Fuyun and Fuyun to Zhundong. The Fuzhun section was opened for operation at the end of December 2019.
Since the project was launched in 2012, the First Railway Institute has actively carried out subject research and technical research in response to technical problems such as extreme weather conditions, poor geology, and controlled engineering along the line, and designed designs that are beneficial to animals when crossing the Kalamaili Nature Reserve. The rapid migration passage protects the natural ecological environment of the reserve; on the basis of the integration of the production layout of the whole line of houses, the prefabricated buildings are introduced for the first time in the whole road; the continuous beams of "tower beam consolidation and tower pier separation" are adopted With the new structure, the design of the Kalasuke Reservoir Bridge, the largest single-track railway cable-stayed bridge with low towers in China, has been completed.
The use of new thermal insulation materials to ensure the quality of tunnel construction and transportation safety in severe cold areas; the key technologies and parameters for the design of seamless track in areas with high temperature differences and the research on strengthening technology of ballasted track seamless track; repeated surveys in the face of the snow damage of the project Experiments and research have formed a complete set of snow disaster prevention and control engineering measures, and obtained relevant patents, laying the foundation for the smooth implementation of the project.
The Ah-Fuzun Railway will greatly enhance the railway transportation capacity of the areas along the line and improve the efficiency of the transportation of mineral resources. The railway operating mileage from Altay to Urumqi will also be shortened from the current 760 kilometers to 630 kilometers, and the running time will be shortened by about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
