It is understood that the 256-kilometer high-speed railway from Xi’an to Shiyan has 61 bridges (41 kilometers) and 41 tunnels (201 kilometers). The proportion of bridges and tunnels is 95%, of which tunnels account for 78.5% of the total length of the line and are 10 kilometers long. There are 5 tunnels above. The design speed is 350 kilometers per hour, the construction period is four and a half years, and the estimated investment is 47.7 billion yuan (including 13.4 billion yuan in Hubei). The project runs through two provinces, three cities, eight districts and counties, with 7 stations in Xi'an East, Lantian, Shangluo West, Shanyang, Manchuanguan, Yunxi, and Shiyan East.

The longest tunnel on the entire line is the Qinling Mabaishan Tunnel (22.9 kilometers long), and the highest bridge is the Shending River Bridge (108 meters high). Among them, the Hanjiang River Bridge is the first domestic high-speed rail cable-stayed bridge with a girder-truss composite structure and the largest span bridge on the entire line, with a main span of 420 meters.

The Xi’an-Wuhan high-speed railway is a component of the Xi’an-Wuhan high-speed railway. At present, the east section from Wuhan to Shiyan has been opened, and the Shiyan East Station has been completed at one time according to the total scale of the Xi’an Railway. It is at the head of the Shending River at the Xi’an end of the Shiyan East Station. The conditions for direct connection to the main line of the West-Ten Railway are reserved. In the future, when the Xi'an-Shiyan high-speed rail is completed and opened to traffic, it will take less than one hour from Shiyan to Xi'an at the fastest, and only more than two hours from Xi'an to Wuhan.

The West Ten high-speed railway line passes through 5 towns and villages in Yunxi County, including Shangjin, Xiangkou, Tumen, Chengguan, and Hejia, with a length of 57.941 kilometers and an estimated total investment of 9.734 billion yuan.

The Xi'an-Shiyan high-speed rail project will build a new high-speed rail station-Yunxi Station in Shiyan. The station building is located in Huangshiliang Village, Chengguan Town, with a construction area of 10,000 square meters, about 2.5 kilometers away from the county seat.

In the future, Shiyan City will plan to build 3 railways

In recent years, Shiyan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have attached great importance to railway project planning. After careful study, three railway projects from Shiyan to Yichang (Xingshan), Ankang to Nanyang via Shiyan, and Sanmenxia (Luoyang) to Shiyan via Xixia are proposed. They are planned to be included in relevant national and provincial plans and implemented early.

Shiyan-Yichang (Xingshan) Railway: This project is an important connecting line of Wuxi and Zhengwan high-speed railways in northwestern Hubei. The design speed is 350 km/h. The line starts from Shiyan in the north and ends at Xingshan, Yichang via Fangxian and Shennongjia. The total length of the line is 189 kilometers, including 145 kilometers in Shiyan.

Ankang-Nanyang Railway via Shiyan: The project is a high-speed railway corridor from the Qinba Mountains to East China, north of the Yangtze River Channel and south of the land bridge channel. It is an important connecting line of Wuxi, Xiyu and Zhengwan high-speed railways. Km/h, the line leads from Ankangxi Station and ends at Nanyang via Shiyan. The total length of the line is 410 kilometers, including 140 kilometers in Shiyan.

Sanmenxia (Luoyang) Railway via Xixia to Shiyan: The total length of the line is about 300 kilometers (including 74 kilometers in Shiyan), passing through Xixia and Xichuan in the west of Henan Province and entering Shiyan. The project is a tourist route connecting many tourist attractions and scenic spots along the route. It is an important transportation line that promotes the economic and social high-quality development of the water supply area of the West Henan and Northwest Hubei South-to-North Water Diversion. In the future, the railway will be connected with the Shiyan-Yichang (Xingshan) railway, which will form a large north-south railway passage in Shiyan, which will greatly improve the railway transportation hub in Shiyan area.
