Qinghai is one of the regions with the richest solar energy resources in China and is an ideal place for the development of new energy industries. On January 5, 2021, it was learned from the State Grid Qinghai Electric Power Company that two photovoltaic power stations in Wutumeiren Township, Golmud City, Haixi Mongolian-Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai, were successfully connected to the grid, and the installed capacity of new energy on the Haixi Power Grid exceeded 10 million kilowatts. , Reaching 10.19 million kilowatts. At this point, the Haixi region of Qinghai has officially entered the second 10 million kilowatt new energy base in Qinghai Province after Hainan.

South Kunlun, North Qilian, Qaidam Basin are in the middle. With the continuous advancement of photovoltaic, solar thermal, and wind power new energy construction, the vast land of Qinghai Qaidam Basin is showing its beautiful appearance in another form.

Since the 13th Five-Year Plan, Qinghai Haixi New Energy has developed rapidly and has become the largest power source in Haixi, accounting for 91.88% of the total installed capacity of Haixi Power Grid, including 162 photovoltaic power stations with an installed capacity of 5.64 million kilowatts; CSP stations 4, with an installed capacity of 160,000 kilowatts; 69 wind farms with an installed capacity of 4.39 million kilowatts.

The Haixi region of Qinghai has a coordinated layout and rationally and orderly develops and constructs a new energy industry. As of December 31, 2020, the Haixi Power Grid’s new energy has generated 12.938 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, continuing to help the local economic construction and the green and clean development of the power grid. China's "14th Five-Year Plan" energy conservation and emission reduction provide reliable energy support. Editor/Sang Xiaomei
