Vietnam plans to carry out a series of elevated road construction projects

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam is considering five projects for the construction of elevated roads in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The construction of new elevated sections is designed to help reduce long-term traffic congestion in the city. The construction of the first new section of the elevated road will begin in 2021.

One project that is being prioritized is elevated road No. 1, which is planned to extend 8.5 kilometers, with two lanes in either direction, and another one kilometer, with lanes in either direction. The cost of the project is expected to exceed 758 million US dollars. The No. 5 elevated road project is also given priority.

The plan to establish a new elevated road link is divided into two phases. The first phase is already in progress and will last until 2025, and the second phase will start from 2025 to 2030. Funding for most of the work will be provided through the PPP model. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
